Each year, the industry is invited from all over the country to view our graduating student's Final Year Projects, hold interviews for Jobs & internships, conduct presentations and have a one-to-one interaction with the student body.
To establish liaison between the Institute and industry and to find appropriate places for its future graduates in the competitive market, a tradition has been set in the Institute to hold an annual event Industrial Open House and Careers Fair by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization – ORIC at the campus before graduation ceremony every year.
The Industrial Open House and Careers Fair is being held with the purpose to provide:
- A meeting place to the Institute's senior students and their prospective employers
- An effective platform for industry-university interaction
- An opportunity for the industry representatives to acquaint themselves with the academic environment provided to the students
The application of nanostructured materials with bespoke morphologies and properties to electrochemical supercapacitors is being intensively studied in order to provide enhanced energy density without comprising their inherent high power density and excellent cyclability.
Supercapacitors, in particular, are divided into two phenomena that are electric double layer capacitance (EDLC), pseudocapacitance & asymmetric super capacitance (Supercappatery Device). In EDLC electrostatic phenomenon is used for charge storage. EDLCs have good power density. Pseudo capacitors have good energy density. In our project, we are using Cobalt Phosphate and Aluminum Silicate to prepare CNTs based nanocomposites respectively with efforts to increase the power density and energy density. Composites are being prepared using different methods such as Grafting, Encapsulation, and Functionalization through the use of sonochemical methods.
Deaf people around the world use sign language to communicate, which is not a universal language. This leads to a huge communication gap between the deaf community and the hearing people. This application, which is a real-time sign language interpreter, focuses on bridging this gap and providing accessibility to the mute community of Pakistan by translating Pakistan Sign Language to text/speech and vice versa. It is a mobile application with two major functions. It takes input from the camera live-feed and translates it into text and takes text input and translates it into the sign. This is done by training neural networks to take useful frames of words in sign language, recognize them and display them as text. The dataset is built by taking images of signs from the camera’s live feed and performing segmentation to them.
Graph coloring problem is one of the most popular problems of Graph theory, and is known to be NP-Complete - no known algorithm exists which, for every graph, will optimally color the nodes of the graph in a time bounded by a polynomial in the number of nodes. GCP is concerned with finding the chromatic number of a graph – determine the minimum number of colors for coloring adjacent regions in graph with unique colors.
The scope of the project is to monitor workers in industries and ensure that they are wearing proper PPE’s and there are no violations. Violations will be reported to proper authorities so that necessary action can be taken. Person doing violations will be detected using facial or gait recognition.
This product is mainly divided into two parts:
- First system will get real time feed and detect PPE violations using AI.
- Second, system will recognize the person doing the violation through facial or gait recognition. System will get the workers facial or gait data from workers database.
It will then generate a report and send it to the concerned authority.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is the impact of Social media on entrepreneurship in the Fashion Industry. Previously, there have been studies done on social media and entrepreneurship but not specifically how it has changed the whole development process for entrepreneurship in the fashion industry.
Methodology: The research has been conducted by using a quantitative approach. SPSS has been used in this research paper.
Findings: Results have been focused on how social media can be a powerful tool in developing entrepreneurship in the fashion industry. Results have further indicated the mediating behavior of creativity and innovation on entrepreneurship.
Research limitation: Implications follow as; youngsters and new entrepreneurs should be encouraged by their families to take a step towards the development of venture capital. The government needs to start programs for entrepreneurs where they will have good quality entrepreneurship education.
Because of the serious environmental hazards due to the combustion of fossil fuel and limited availability of conventional fossil fuel energy sources, renewable energy sources like solar, wind and geothermal, etc. are attracting more consideration as alternate energy sources. Among the renewable energy sources, solar photovoltaic energy has been widely utilized in many applications due to its advantages such as direct electric power form, easy maintenance, no noise, fewer limitations with regard to the site of installation, etc. Being cheap and ease of operation make photovoltaic systems favorable for different users, particularly in rural areas, that have a substantial amount of insolation and have no access to an electric network or load shedding problems. Among many other uses, standalone solar water pumping systems have also become a favorable solution for water supply and gaining more satisfaction and market share.
Health monitoring of the induction motors is desired to avoid unexpected shutdowns and risks associated with the malfunctioning of the induction motors. The project aims to monitor the health of an induction motor without employing any sensors on to the induction motor and diagnose for various induction motor faults such as bearing fault, stator inter-turn short circuit fault, eccentricity fault, and broken-rotor fault through the diagnosis of current spectrum using the techniques developed by Motor Current Signature Analysis. This helps to detect faults at their incipient stages and is the most desirable for the industries focusing on
